St John Plessington Catholic College, Literacy is at the heart of everything we do. We therefore offer students a wide range of stimulating ways to develop their ability to speak, read and write effectively. Well done to team PE who have contributed to the school being awarded the Gold school games award

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

Our sporting achievements this year alongside our young people competing in local inter-school competitions this year have contributed to the evidence of being awarded this

We are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.

As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.

Hospitality & Catering Trip to Liverpool

Today, our fantastic Year 9 and 10 Food students had an unforgettable experience exploring the world of Hospitality and Catering in action!

We visited the iconic Adelphi Hotel, where pupils were amazed by the stunning history and architecture, gaining valuable insights into the workings of a large-scale hotel operation.

Our next stop was Indian Tiffin Room, where students enjoyed an incredible thali meal and learned about restaurant service whilst experiencing new foods.

Our pupils were exceptionally well behaved, enthusiastic, and an absolute credit to the schooland their parents – we couldn’t be prouder! 💙

As part of the New Brighton Arts Fest, our students had the incredible opportunity to perform over the last two days and what an unforgettable experience it`s been!

On choir night at Fort Perch Rock, they performed in front of over 200 people.

Last night, they hit the Floral Pavilion stage and performed two unbelievable dancers!
